First Round Fever
After successfully disposing of non-league minnows Oxford United in the first round last year, Wycombe Wanderers will be looking for another favourable first round draw this season.
Teams from Leagues 1 and 2 as well as the winning teams from the 4th qualifying round are eligible for this draw as Wycombe look to improve on their 2nd round performance last year.
It could even mean a first round visit to ex-Premiership giants Leeds United as they feel the effects of their plummet into League 1.
It will be an interesting occasion and after missing out on another Carling Cup run, to what extent will Lambert prioritise the competition that put the Blues in the spotlight in 2001?
