'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Mooney Quits

It has been revealed officially today that Tommy Mooney will not be renewing his contract with the Blues and has left the club.

The 36 year old was not guaranteed first team football at the club next year which proved the ultimate stalling point and the ex-Watford man will now be looking for a new club in the close season.

He chipped in 32 goals in all competitions for the Blues but became overly frustrated last season at times often struggling to complete 90 minutes and never looked the player he did in his first year for us.

With one striker on the way out, this may open the door for Ramon Calliste who is rumoured to have made quite an impression on Wanderers staff since he has been on trial.

Good luck to Tommy though, he gave us some good times and scored some vital goals but it seems we just don't need him anymore!

Good luck to him. I know he was prolific in his first year for you and I wish him all the best. Hopefully that Calliste does it for you!

i'd imagine that the rumour linking him to Valley Parade is dead in the water now that we've signed up two 'veterans' already
Wellers
Rumour as it he's going back to Oxford.

I suppose he is quite old when you think of it and it was probaly the best decison before he got complelty past his best.
