Grant Not Coming Back

Just weeks after winning Wycombe's Young Player of the Year award, Chelsea have dashed our chances of getting the 19 year old back on loan next year.

They have said:

'We have been extremely impressed with Anthony's performances this year during Wycombe's cup run and it suggests that we need to prepare him for a higher level and if he goes out on loan again it will be to a Championship club'

This comes as a disappointment to Wycombe fans as he is one of the players who has always given 100% through the good and the bad this year and must have been close to winning player of the season outright. Despite not scoring any goals and being sent off twice, he learnt from his errors and became a massive asset to us and one of the first names on the teamsheet.

I for one, wish him the best of luck in the future as he has it all in front of him and his non-stop running and effort should definitely see him have a long and prosperous career.
