Blues draw Preston at home


Wycombe Wanderers have been drawn at home to Preston North End in the third round of the FA Cup.

Gareth Ainsworth's Chairboys triumphed 3-1 at home to Leatherhead in Sunday's second round tie, courtesy of goals from Sam Saunders, Craig Mackail-Smith and Adebayo Akinfenwa.

In the first round Wanderers won 2-0 at Solihull Moors with goals from Nick Freeman and Mackail-Smith.

Preston are 10th in the Championship with 29 points from 20 games.

Their away record in all competitions is W:3 D:4 L:4

Wycombe are currently 5th in Lg2 with 33 points from 20 games.

Their home record in all competitions is W:7 D:3 L:4

The Chairboys will take heart from the fact that Preston lost 3-2 at Accrington Stanley in the League Cup earlier this season

The tie will be played during the weekend of Saturday 6th January.
