Preview: Wycombe Wanderers v Doncaster Rovers

Wycombe Wanderers entertain Doncaster Rovers on Saturday in their 44th league game of the season.

The Chairboys claimed all three points with a 2-0 win over Barnet at the Hive on Easter Monday.

They went into the game on the back of a 1-0 defeat at home to play-off rivals Mansfield Town on Good Friday.

Wanderers have now won 4 consecutive away games but have failed to win any of their last 7 at home.

After the Easter double-header they slipped two places to 13th in the table, but are only two points adrift of Blackpool in the final play-off place.

Only 3 points separate the eight clubs between 6th and 13th, and Blues' boss Gareth Ainsworth believes that maximum points from their three remaining games will be enough to secure a play off place for his side.

Here are the contenders and their remaining fixtures...

Ainsworth made two changes to his starting line-up last time out with midfielder Sam Saunders making a welcome return after recovering from injury. Striker Paul Hayes was also handed a recall to the side.

Midfielder Matt Bloomfield and winger Garry Thompson both dropped to the bench, while striker Dayle Southwell was recalled to the squad in preference to loan striker Alex Jakubiak.

There was no place again for defenders Max Müller and Will de Havilland and midfielder Sam Wood.

Ainsworth has no new injury concerns ahead of this weekend's clash with the Rovers and will check upon the fitness of winger Paris Cowan-Hall, who is struggling with an injury that has kept him out since scoring at Hartlepool United a month ago.

Defender Anthony Stewart remains sidelined with a medial knee ligament injury and is unlikely to be risked before the end of the season.

Doncaster Rovers suffered only their second home league defeat of the season after conceding a penalty in injury-time to lose 1-0 to play-off chasers Blackpool at the Keepmoat Stadium on Easter Monday.

Manager Darren Ferguson was furious with his side's poor performance in their 1-1 draw away at play-off chasers Colchester United on Good Friday, and their lead at the top of the table has now been reduced to just three points.

Ferguson made three changes to his starting line-up last time out with defender Aaron Taylor-Sinclair handed his first start of the season after recovering from a long-term knee injury. Defender Joe Wright and striker Alfie May were also handed recalls to the side.

Midfielder Gary McSheffrey dropped to the bench, defender Andy Butler missed out with a tight hamstring, and midfielder Luke McCullogh was rested.

Butler and McCullogh will both return for this weekend's clash with the Chairboys.

Striker Liam Mandeville (hamstring) has returned to training this week whilst first-choice goalkeeper Ian Lawlor (chest) and midfielder and captain James Coppinger (groin) have both recovered from injury and are available for selection.

Defender Mathieu Baudry is expected to delay an Achilles operation to play but striker Andy Williams remains sidelined with a calf injury. Wing-back Matty Blair serves a one-match ban after being sent off on Easter Monday.
