Jon-Paul Pittman returns to the Blues
Wycombe Wanderers have brought former player Jon-Paul Pittman back to Adams Park on a one-year contract.
The pacy forward was originally signed by Peter Taylor in February 2009 and played a part in two promotions and one relegation before being released by Gary Waddock in 2011 and joining Oxford United.
Still only 26, Pittman is comfortable on the wing or up-front and was a popular figure during his first spell with the Chairboys, scoring 17 goals in 42 starts and 40 substitute appearances in all competitions.
In his two seasons at Oxford, Pittman made 12 starts and 23 substitute appearances, scoring 6 goals. He also spent time on-loan at Crawley Town where he made 4 substitute appearances and scored 1 goal.
Speaking to wwfc.com, Wycombe manager Gareth Ainsworth said: "Having known him from his last time here, he's a great character but more importantly he brings a lot to the team. He feels at home here and wants to be here. He fits perfectly in the culture we've created."
"He's still got his best years ahead of him and I'm convinced he can flourish with us. He gives us another attacking option. He's got pace, power and he's exciting to watch, plus he's a fans' favourite."
