Big Dave departs Adams Park

Shrewsbury Town have captured the signature of Wycombe Wanderers' out-of-contract defender Dave Winfield.

Winfield arrived at Adams Park from Aldershot Town in the summer of 2010 and clocked up 100 appearances in all competitions scoring 6 goals.

He was a member of the side that achieved promotion in 2011 and also featured prominently as the Chairboys were relegated the following season.

Shrews' boss Graham Turner said of Winfield: "He's delighted to be joining us and sees it as a big challenge. He's a big, strong lad who is effective in both boxes."
