Following last night`s thrilling 3-1 victory over League One Portsmouth in the Football League Trophy at Fratton Park, here are some views on the game from Pompey manager Michael Appleton and a few of their fans.
Appleton said: "I say it every week - score the first goal and it gives you an opportunity to win games. Mind you, not conceding two in the first 10 minutes also gives you an opportunity to win the game. 'You fight an uphill battle as soon as that happens and it sets the tone."
"Sometimes in football you have a feeling. When I saw that go in and then the second go in I just knew. The atmosphere was a little bit funny as well. It certainly gave us an uphill battle but we did have a lot of opportunities to get back into it and I thought we were sloppy in front of goal."
"We never created a bundle of clear-cut chances, but there were opportunities. The amount of times we got into their box and made the wrong decision was a little bit disappointing. My players had a go at it and tried to get back into it and I think if we had got our second goal we would have gone on to win the game - although that is me being slightly biased."
"I am not going to draw too much from this. It is a competition that would have been nice to go through to the next round. But come tomorrow I couldn`t care less, it is more important what happens on Saturday."
"It was Wycombe`s night, they came here, had a fantastic start to the game and played well. Good luck to them. This is a match where we need to move on very, very quickly."
Wycombe boss Gareth Ainsworth claimed he was lost for words afterwards, but he did single out certain players for some special praise.
He said: 'Charles Dunne was in park football three years ago and he's come on leaps and bounds. Dave Winfield was outstanding tonight - a warrior. Best performance I've seen from him for a long time. Joel Grant's having a great season, he's a great player and he's proved that with that finish.
'I'm so pleased, so proud of them - I'm lost for words. These boys don't realise what they can achieve. I was never gifted with a great amount of skill like some of these players have got, but I have a heart as big as a lion. I'll keep going and I'll never give up. I want to give that to the boys."
'That's the first thing we do, we win our battles, our headers - we win everything, we fight, we scrap for every last piece of that ball we can get. When we've got it, then we can play. It beggars belief they went out there and defended the way they did. Some of the last ditch defending was fantastic."
'You want to get out there. I'm passionate and I want to be out there with the boys and get involved. I might have some down time tomorrow, have a lie in and chill out. I don't think I'll be able to sleep tonight.'
The Pompey fans have endured some tough times recently and they were less than impressed with the display from their side last night.
The following extracts are taken from various online forums and social media.
"Love being a Pompey fan! Just over 4 years ago we won the FA Cup. Now we're losing to a pub team."
"Poor effort against a dire side is being kind."
"Tonight just confirmed to me that we have relegation stamped all over us. We were outclassed by one of the worst sides in League Two."
"I may not care too much about the paint pot cup, but I do care about the performance of my team and it was utter garbage. No passion from the players and the usual lack of involvement from our manager. It was only when he finally made a substitution that I realised he was still alive. I paid my money, got soaked and cold and I believe that we are entitled to a better performance than that."
"We will never win again this season, not even in a tin pot trophy game against bottom of League Two."
"Awful performance and an embarrassing result. Players need to take a long hard look at themselves and ask whether that's the best they can offer."

"Wycombe definitely wanted it more than us. They did well and the commentators were hysterical with excitement. Nice that even the Pompey fans clapped the Wycombe team off."
