Scowen joins Eastbourne on-loan

Wycombe Wanderers midfielder Josh Scowen has joined Eastbourne Borough on a youth loan.

The 19 year-old will remain with the Blue Square South side until January 2013 with a recall clause becoming active after 28 days.

He will continue to train with the Chairboys and is permitted to play in their Development Squad games.

Now in his second year as a professional, Scowen spent time on-loan at Hemel Hempstead Town last season where he worked with current Eastbourne manager Tommy Widdington.

Widdington said: "Josh is a central midfielder I have been aware of for some time. He came to Hemel and was very consistent for one so young. He is tough and punches way above his weight. I look forward to seeing him in our squad and we are grateful to Wanderers for permitting the loan."
