Following yesterday's thrilling 3-2 victory over fellow strugglers Chesterfield, here are some views on the game from the Spireites' manager John Sheridan and a few of their fans.
"We had a great opportunity to get something from the game after leading twice," said Sheridan.
"I think we're as good as any team going forward in this division I really do, but when we're defending I'm really worried."
"The goals we conceded were a joke. It's just a matter of clearing the ball for most of them. The first goal was an embarrassment, and for the second goal we've given the ball away and it's very weak defending."
"And the last goal...why we're so deep on the keeper was ridiculous... we were right on top of him and have ended up conceding the goal."
The Chesterfield fans were an unhappy bunch.

"Didn't deserve to lose that at all. The officials were a joke, especially the linesman who flagged every time the ball went forward for us. It was he who cost us the game by flagging when Lester wasn't offside and giving Wycombe the last chance to punt it forward.'

"Let's not blame the ref. We had enough chances to clear the ball for the first goal, the second goal no tackle was made and the third goal was not dealt with from a big punt into the box...so every goal was down to us not the ref.'

"We lost because we aren't good enough. Credit to Wycombe they battled and harried and chased everything and played a fast tempo in search of the winner. They were running at us unhindered in the end. Lester was unfairly given offside and from the resulting free kick they lobbed an 'up and under' into the box, nobody dealt with it, and they undeservedly won the game; this oh so cruel game.'

"At 2-1 we should have parked the bus. The substitutions should have been made to keep what we had both at 2-1 up and at 2-2 because at the moment we're fragile and need to build. A point would have been a step in the right direction but to lose with the last kick of the game is the worst of all signs. Sheridan should have tried to shut up shop. He didn't.'

"How many goals do we need to score to win a match. Our defence and midfield are so bad that I think we will need to score 4 goals in a game to stand any chance of winning. Today's defeat will be devastating for all concerned. WE ARE DOWN.'

"We lost the game because of naive tactics. Can anybody name another manager that would have brought on three forwards as substitutes in a match where one point was essential and three a real bonus.'

"We played some good stuff again today and no way did Wycombe deserve a share of the spoils never mind all three points. Our defence let us down yet again for all three goals despite looking solid for most of the game. I would have been sick dropping two points but to give all three away in the last minute is beyond belief. We should have won, Wycombe are garbage and will finish below us.'

"At 2-1 up we were well in control and we capitulated. Tommy should have done better with their second goal....before you know it 3-2 down.'

"I'm not too concerned that some players who won us promotion last season were given new contracts as they got us promoted, but the right type of players weren't signed to complement them and to replace the players who didn't stay on.'

"We are going down it's a certainty. Sheridan has failed on a gross scale to understand this league and the quality of players required, and the management as a whole have failed to coach the failings out of the team.'

"Guys, just forget about it. Do what I'm going to do, enjoy Christmas, book your summer holiday, don't go to the games, don't come on here, don't look at the league table and forget about them until Sheridan has gone.'
