In the wake of yesterday's dismal FA Cup defeat at the hands of ten-man Conference side Fleetwood Town, I'm unable to find any comments from Cod Army boss Micky Mellon who's probably still chuckling into his porridge at how easy it was to reach round two at the expense of an unimaginative and sluggish Wycombe side.
The Fleetwood fans were over the moon and had nothing good to say about the Chairboys.
The following extracts are taken from the Cod Army Board and the Independent Fleetwood Town Fans Forum.

'What a great team performance. More than 45 minutes with only 10 men against a league One club.'

'Wycombe, if we go up, will be one of our rivals next season, so no worries there.'

'Had to laugh when we were singing "that's why your going down" after they missed a couple of sitters and their keeper turned round, nodded, and started laughing.'

'Absolutely fantastic performance. The manager got his tactics spot on today even when a man down. We could have been three up long before Brodie's red card. A neutral would never have known which was the League One team.'

'We looked the better team for the majority of the game and could have scored more than two. The players dug deep when down to ten men and didn't let Wycombe back in it. Superb day.'

'I thought Wycombe would be quite a challenge but they were easily turned over with only 10 men!!'

'Awesome performance.........history has been written today. Well done MM & the team. As for Wycombe, only one player stood out for me....Joel Grant Get him signed, imagine him in a red shirt.'

''Wycombe were pathetic and never really tested the keeper but Fleetwood were excellent and player for player are better than Wycombe.'

'We completely outplayed and outthought Wycombe who simply had no answer even with an extra man. They couldnt handle Vardy on his own up top let alone with any support, and he ran them ragged with his pace.'
