Steve Arnold undergoes surgery on broken foot
Wycombe Wanderers goalkeeper Steve Arnold is undergoing surgery today after suffering a fractured foot at the weekend
He picked up the injury during the first half of Hayes and Yeading United's 3-3 draw with Stockport County in their Conference Premier fixture at Edgeley Park.
He played on until half-time but was unable to continue and was replaced by Delroy Preddie. A scan on Monday revealed he had suffered a fracture in his foot. He will have surgery today and is expected to miss the next two to three months.
The 22-year-old former Norwich City trainee was signed in January 2010 after a lengthy trial period and penned a new one-year deal in the summer of 2011.
With No.1 goalkeeper Nikki Bull enjoying an exceptional season in 2010/11 manager Gary Waddock allowed understudy Arnold to join Hayes and Yeading United on a season-long loan where he has stood-out with some impressive performances.
Vital Wycombe would like to wish him a speedy recovery.
