Rendell returns with a niggling injury

Bristol Rovers manager Paul Buckle has revealed that Scott Rendell has returned to Wycombe Wanderers with an injury problem.

Rendell has spent a month on loan at the Memorial Stadium where he played six times for Rovers without finding the net.

Interviewed on his club's official website, Buckle said: "Rends goes back, his groins have stiffened up. He's had a bit of a problem in the summer and that's sort of reared its ugly head again so I spoke to Gary Waddock this morning and Scott will go back."

Wycombe's top scorer last season with 19 goals, spot-kick specialist Rendell has only found the net once in 14 appearances during the current campaign, successfully converting a penalty at Colchester United on August 13th.
