Blues face high-flying Bees at Adams Park

Wycombe Wanderers entertain Brentford on Saturday in their 6th league game of the season.

The league table currently shows Wycombe in 18th place with 5 points from 5 games and Brentford in 4th spot with 12 points from 6 games.

Wycombe's Home Record (All competitions)...Won 2 - Drawn 1 - Lost 2

Brentford's Away Record (All competitions)....Won 3 - Drawn 0 - Lost 2

The Bees were promoted along with Wycombe in May 2009 and have since consolidated their position in League One with a pair of top-half finishes - 9th in 2010 and 11th in 2011.

This summer they demonstrated their ambition to finish even higher by beating a host of clubs to the coveted signature of prolific striker Clayton Donaldson from Crewe.

Now flying high in 4th with an average of two points per game, the Bees further strengthened their squad when the loan window opened yesterday, signing defenders Miguel Llera from Blackpool and Blair Adams from Sunderland.

On the injury front - Shaleum Logan, Leon Legge, Sam Saunders, Toumani Diagouraga, Kirk Hudson and Gary Alexander are all doubtful for Saturday's match.

The Blues beat Bristol Rovers 3-1 in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy in midweek to bring to an end a run of three consecutive defeats.

That losing streak was followed by the postponement of their league game against Preston - a sequence of events which saw the Blues plummet from 7th to 18th in the fledgling table.

Tuesday's hat-trick hero Stuart Beavon is likely to be the first name on Saturday's teamsheet, while Gareth Ainsworth, Joel Grant and Scott Donnelly will all be pushing for a recall to the starting line-up.

Dave Winfield and Matt McClure are definitely out of action and John Halls is also carrying an injury.
