If you were fortunate enough to see Tuesday's clash between the Blues and their old rivals, the chances are you won't want to miss the rematch on Saturday.
It was a cup-tie with everything, and at the end of it, Wycombe triumphed on penalties to earn a home game against Nottingham Forest in the next round.
The U's and the Blues meet again tomorrow with three valuable points at stake, and Tuesday's result is unlikely to have any bearing on the outcome.
Wycombe may hold the bragging rights, but this is Colchester's first home game of the season and they'll be aiming to build on their great start at Preston last week while exacting a measure of revenge on the Blues at the same time.
Last season, the U's made their home a fortress where they collected 70% of their points and lost only four league games. Manager John Ward and their fans will expect nothing less this time round.
There also seems to be a feeling in the Colchester camp, that although they lost on Tuesday, they still have the measure of Wycombe.
"They got a great start in the game going 2-0 up, but without sounding biased, after their goals, there was only one team in it," said U's striker Kayode Odejayi.
Now, while that's not strictly true, there were certainly spells in Tuesday's game where the U's looked extremely dangerous going forward, and it wasn't difficult to see why they've scored seven goals in their first two games of the season.
They have however conceded five, and it's that defensive frailty which offers Wycombe hope of upsetting their Essex rivals once again.
But without the steely, tough-tackling Stuart Lewis, the Blues looked a little soft-centred the other night, and as he'll be missing again on Saturday, the odds are they'll need to score another couple of goals to take anything from this game.
Don't expect to see a goalless draw.
