Scott Donnelly signs on for the season

Wycombe Wanderers have signed midfielder Scott Donnelly on a season-long loan from Swansea City.

Donnelly joined the Swans from Aldershot Town last summer but made only one substitute appearance in the Championship before arriving at Adams Park on-loan at the end of the year.

He made 12 starts and 7 substitute appearances during the second-half of Wycombe's promotion-winning campaign, scoring 3 league goals and impressing more and more as his match-fitness improved.

The 23 year-old will be reunited with Nikki Bull, Andy Sandell, Dave Winfield, Ben Harding and Joel Grant as manager Gary Waddock brings the tally to six of his former Aldershot players who will play for the Blues next season.

Waddock told wwfc.com: "He played a big part in our promotion and we are delighted to welcome back a very good player."

Donnelly said: "I'm pleased I'll be here for a whole season so I can really concentrate on my football. It's a great club, I love all the lads and together we showed what we were all about last season."
