Winfield signs contract extension

Wycombe Wanderers' defender Dave Winfield has signed a new contract which ties him to the Blues until 2013.

Manager Gary Waddock told wwfc.com: "After the excellent season he's had, we're absolutely delighted that Dave has committed himself to the club. He's a leader, a winner, and one we can develop even further."

Winfield was contracted to play for the Blues next season anyway, but Waddock is still waiting to hear from Leon Johnson, Chris Westwood, Danny Foster and Matt Bloomfield who are all out of contract and considering the offers made to them on Wednesday.
