Wycombe Wanderers entertain Accrington Stanley on Saturday in their 30th league game of the season.
The league table currently shows Wycombe in 4th place with 50 points from 29 games and Accrington in 19th spot with 33 points from 27 games
Accrington's Away Record...Won 2 - Drawn 8 - Lost 5 - Pts 14 (Rank-18)
Wycombe's Home Record....Won 8 - Drawn 4 - Lost 3 - Pts 28 (Rank-5)
Blues' boss Gary Waddock was less than impressed with his side's performance in their 3-2 defeat at Southend in midweek, complaining that his players "shot themselves in the foot" and promptly cancelling their day-off the following day.
Coming hot on the heels of a 1-0 defeat at Bradford, Tuesday's setback saw Wycombe drop to 4th in the table, and Waddock will have had plenty to say about their schoolboy defending during the second-half at Roots Hall.
Looking on the bright side, the last time Wycombe lost two league games in a row they won their next five in all competitions, and with two consecutive home-games coming up - both against bottom-six opposition - they have an excellent opportunity to put last week behind them and set off on another fruitful run.
First-up are Accrington Stanley - who on closer inspection, aren't as easy to beat as their lowly position would suggest.
The Owd Reds have lost only eight league games this season - a record bettered by only two teams - Chesterfield with four defeats and Wycombe themselves with seven.
Away from home, Stanley have lost five times - a record bettered by only three teams - Chesterfield with two defeats, Torquay with three and Wycombe themselves with four.
Two impressive records which beg the question - why are they 19th in the table? Well, twelve draws haven't helped, nor has the fact that Stanley have as many as four games in hand on some of the other teams in the division.
One thing's for sure though, Accrington are no pushover.
Andy Sandell, Chris Westwood and Matt Bloomfield will all miss Saturday's game, while Leon Johnson is doubtful.
