Blues sign midfielder Stuart Lewis on loan


With Wycombe's regular central-midfielders Matt Bloomfield and Lewis Montrose just one booking away from a suspension, Blues' manager Gary Waddock has dipped into the loan market to sign Stuart Lewis from Dagenham & Redbridge.

Lewis has captained both the Arsenal U16s and the Tottenham U18s in a career which has taken him from Norwich City's academy to Dagenham via the Gunners, Spurs, Barnet, Stevenage and Gillingham.

The 23 year-old has also represented England at Youth Team, U16 and U17 level.

He joined the Daggers on a three-year contract during the summer and has made 7 starts and 3 substitute appearances for them in League One this season.

The midfielder has signed a one-month deal and goes straight into the squad for tomorrow's game against Torquay. He is also eligible for the FA Cup tie against Chelmsford on Saturday.
