A Rotherham fan's views ahead of the game

Ahead of Saturday's game against the Millers at Don Valley Stadium, Vital Rotherham editor Caz answers a few questions for us.

What were the Rotherham fans' expectations in pre-season?

To be in the top three. After the disappointment of the Wembley Play-Off Final last season, we don't want to have a repeat of that! Anything less than the top three will be considered a bit of a failed season to be honest.

Where do you personally think you'll finish. You've started well, but do you feel you have the strength in depth to stay in the hunt for automatic promotion?

I really hope so. We've not been playing that well recently but have got the results so .... as I said before, it HAS to be the top three.

Some people have claimed that without Adam Le Fondre you wouldn't be among the early leaders, how true is that?

Can't deny it! Last season it was just find Alfie in the box and he'll get it in. This season Alfie (Le Fondre) has been joining in a bit more and getting balls to other players and we've got other people scoring like skipper Ryan Cresswell and Kevin Ellison.

How would you describe your team's style of play?

Erratic! The only thing I can really guarantee is that Alfie will be up front! and that we won't play more than two up front at the most.

Where are you strongest - defence, midfield or attack?

Midfield? I don't think we have one of them! Our goalkeeper and defenders have done very well this season so I really think it might be defence at the moment.

Who has been your best player so far?

Got to be Adam Le Fondre though goalie Andy Warrington can't be that far behind.

Of all the teams you've played so far, who has impressed you the most?

To be honest I don't think there's a lot between the teams in League Two - but if you want one then Stevenage did what they came for and got a well deserved draw at Don Valley.

What do you expect to see from Wycombe on Saturday?

A tough game and I expect Wycome to defend better than they did against Chesterfield recently.

Take a wild guess at the final score

I think it will be a 2-1 win to the Millers - although, I wouldn't be surprised at a draw.

Thanks Caz.
