Pittman injury requires an operation

Wycombe Wanderers are finding goals difficult to come by at the moment, and the last thing they need is the long-term absence of pacy striker Jon-Paul Pittman, but the injury he sustained during last week's warm-up requires an operation which will keep him out for four months.

"He'll be out for a little while, he's got to go in next week and have an operation so he's going to be out for a period," Blues boss Gary Waddock told Chairboys Player.

"He's got a problem close to his knee - a tendon down the side of his knee needs some work."

"It's bad news," said Waddock.

Head of medical sports science Stuart Ayles said he thought Pittman would be out of action for "a minimum of four months."
