Beavon on course for August return

Wycombe Wanderers striker Stuart Beavon is making good progress as he battles back to fitness after breaking his leg in the Berks & Bucks Cup Final at the end of last season.

Speaking to wwfc.com, Blues boss Gary Waddock said: "Stuart Beavon saw a specialist this week and he's been cleared to do some light jogging."

"He's well on schedule to make a complete recovery from his broken leg and I expect him to be available for selection for the opening month of the season."

When he regains full fitness, Beavon will be competing with Jon-Paul Pittman and new signings Ben Strevens and Scott Rendell for a starting spot up-front.
