Blues crush Tranmere to boost survival hopes

Wycombe Wanderers won 3-0 at Tranmere Rovers this evening to keep their survival hopes alive ahead of the final four games of the season.

Two goals from Alex Revell and one from Matt Bloomfield gave the Chairboys their second win in three days and sent Rovers crashing to their third consecutive defeat.

Revell opened the scoring after 14 minutes and doubled his tally with 20 minutes remaining.

Bloomfield then put the result beyond any doubt with Wycombe's third goal after 86 minutes.

The Blues are now 6 points below 20th placed Gillingham, but with the Gills facing tough games against Leeds, Norwich and Southampton before visiting Adams Park on the last day of the season, there's still everything to play for.

Wycombe Line-Up
Heaton, Mousinho, Hunt, Westwood, Woodman, Ainsworth (Mcleod 88), Montrose, Bloomfield, Betsy, Revell (Harrold 90), Pittman (Phillips 66).
