'If It's Football, It's Vital'

The Opposition View

Following yesterday's defeat at Walsall here are some views on the game from Saddlers' manager Chris Hutchings and a few of their fans.

"It's always good to get three points," Hutchings told saddlers.co.uk.

"After getting ourselves in a good position we made hard work of it, but I thought we scored two excellent goals. The game was far too open in the first half and then we had to defend well towards the end, but I was delighted with the way the lads rolled their sleeves up, worked hard and got the win."

The Walsall fans thought Wycombe were poor.

The following extracts are from 'upthesaddlers' and 'Football Forums.'

'Wycombe were awful, although I was impressed with Ainsworth. We killed the game in the first 20 minutes and shouldn't have let them back into it. We switched off for a second and they could have escaped with a point.'

'I didn't really see a football match. I saw some weird hoof-ball game and would estimate there were only around 15-20 minutes of what could be classed as football.'

'It seemed like a pre-season friendly to be honest. If Wycombe had anything more about them they could have easily snatched a point when we sat back after going two-up.'

'Wycombe are hands-down the worst team to come to the Banks this season.'

'A boring second-half where we actually let them take control and a goal was always coming.'

'Shambolic second-half after they were there for the taking.'

'Wycombe were woeful. They started getting into it in the last 20 minutes but other than that they were poor.'
