Pardew: Wycombe have improved

Southampton manager Alan Pardew is quietly confident but taking nothing for granted ahead of Tuesday's clash with Wycombe.

Speaking to his club's official website, Pardew said:

"Wycombe have only lost one in their last five, and won a couple of those."

"They have picked up lately and Gary Waddock is a good manager. It has taken him time to turn it round there, but he will turn it round and at the moment they are the best they have been all year."

Despite the kind words for Wycombe, Pardew is confident in his team's ability to win the game.

"Being at home with a good win under their belts will mean that they will be looking to beat us, but we are a good side and we are looking to finish these last seventeen games as the strongest team in the division," he said.
