West Ham's Josh Payne joins Wycombe on loan

Wycombe Wanderers have today announced the signing of midfielder Josh Payne on loan from West Ham United.

The 19 year-old defensive midfielder has featured three times for the Hammers' first team, most recently in last August's 3-1 Carling Cup victory over Millwall.

He has also had loan spells with Cheltenham Town where he made 13 appearances in 2008, and Colchester United where he made 3 appearances earlier this season.

Payne can also operate in either central defence or at left-back if required.

His loan period initially runs from 22nd January to 23rd February, making him available for Wycombe's next 6 games.
