Rushden & Diamonds await Wycombe or Brighton

A home tie against Rushden and Diamonds is the prize for Wycombe Wanderers if they win their FA Cup first-round replay against Brighton.

The Diamonds are currently 6th in the Blue Square Premier League and clinched their place in the FA Cup second-round by beating Conference North side Hinckley United 3-1 at home yesterday.

They were founded in 1992, won promotion to the Football League in 2001, won the League Two title in 2003, were relegated the following season and after suffering another relegation in 2006, returned to non-league football.

The Chairboys drew 4-4 with Brighton at Adams Park yesterday and the two sides will replay their first-round tie on Wednesday 18th November at the Withdean Stadium.

The FA Cup second-round matches will take place during the weekend of Saturday 28th November.
