'We've got to get our fingers out and get a win' said Peter Taylor, echoing the thoughts of every Chairboys' supporter.
Without a single victory in their last five games and with only one in their last eight, it's little wonder that Wycombe Wanderers have slipped out of the automatic promotion places.
However, all is not yet lost and with two games in hand on most of their promotion rivals, the Chairboys still have a golden opportunity to seal a top-three spot this season.
The first of these games in hand is tonight against Barnet at Adams Park and Blues' manager Peter Taylor has told his players it's time to start winning again.
'It's a massive game for us. If we win we can go second and still have a game in hand,' said the Wycombe boss.
Speaking to the Bucks Free Press, Taylor said the Chairboys were fortunate that their promotion rivals have failed to take full advantage of their recent poor results.
'We got away with it again on Saturday but we can't keep on doing that,' he said.
The Wycombe manager concedes that it's only his team's early season results that have kept them in with a chance of promotion and certainly not their recent efforts.
'It's not because of what we've been doing recently' he said.
"We have got to start winning some matches for ourselves. We've got eight games left and if we don't start winning we will not go up.'
Tonight's match kicks-off at 7.45pm.
