Early Inspection Scuppers Darlington v Wycombe

Wycombe Wanderers game at Darlington has been postponed following a 9.15am pitch inspection.

An overnight frost has apparently made the pitch unplayable despite the covers being in place.

On their messageboard, Darlington fans have expressed their surprise at the early inspection, feeling that the current sunshine in the area might have thawed the pitch during the six hours between the inspection and the kick off.

Both sides now face another Tuesday night fixture in an already congested schedule.

The good news for Darlington is that key players Franz Burgmeier and Tim Ryan who were suspended for today's match should now be available for the rearranged fixture.
