Trusts Combine to Create a New Body for Chairboys Fans
Wycombe Wanderers Trust has been created to simplify fan representation on the Wycombe Wanderers PLC Board. It has been formed by merging the WW Supporters Trust and the WW Founders Trust into a single body, which will elect two fan directors onto the Club Board.
David McGee, Chair of the new Trust, said "A single trust removes confusion and gives supporters a real voice at the decision-making heart of the Club. The strength of that voice will be determined by the number of Trust members. We are starting out with the combined membership of the two Trusts, but want to increase this to ensure the fans` voice is heard loud and clear."
"The Club is going to be making some huge decisions in the coming few years and supporters will want to be fully informed and consulted - a role that the Trust will fulfil. The new Trust has inherited all the assets, rights and privileges of its parents including the two elected directors on the Club Board and a vital say in the future of the Club. I urge committed Wanderers fans to join us."
Wycombe Wanderers Trust will be launched at the home game against Luton on Saturday 13th December, where supporters can join up. More information and membership forms can be found at: www.wycombewandererstrust.com
If you have an opinion on current issues such as the proposed new stadium, join the Trust and make sure your views are represented where it really counts..
The newly formed trust will have the right to elect two directors to the Wycombe Wanderers Football Club PLC board.
In addition, the new Trust is the custodian of any of the original 500 Founder Shares which have lapsed. Through its holding of Founder Shares, the Trust will influence the outcome of any proposed changes to the so-called "enshrined rights" which include the sale of Adams Park and the restriction on any one person holding more than 25% of the Club`s shares.
Join before 27th December and you could win a signed shirt.
In addition to the significance of membership outlined above, all members will be entered into a regular draw for a "WWFC experience". The first draw will take place on Saturday 27th December, where the prize will be a signed Scott Shearer shirt, to be presented at a home game during January. All supporters, who join the Trust before 27th December, will be entered into the draw. Membership forms will shortly be available from the Commercial Office and Club Shops.
