Wycombe Bag Balanta
Wycombe Wanderers have today pulled off a bit of a coup by signing highly rated QPR forward Angelo Balanta on a two month loan.
Eighteen year old Balanta was born in Columbia but was recently called up as a standby for the England U-19 side.
He has made 7 appearances for QPR's first team this season, scoring goals against Nottingham Forest in The Championship and Swindon Town in the Carling Cup.
Last season he appeared 12 times and found the net against Sheffield United.
In total he has started 8 Championship games for QPR and come on as a substitute 7 times.
He has also made a substitute appearance in the FA Cup and featured 3 times in the Carling Cup, twice coming on from the bench.
Interviewed on Wycombe's official website, Balanta said he had come to Adams park to score goals.
He said his preference was to play on the left side of attack as he enjoys cutting in from there and shooting.
Balanta is highly rated by QPR and their fans and it is unlikely that they would have let him come to Wycombe if he wasn't going to start games.
Balanta goes straight into the squad for Saturday's match against Bradford City.
