Taylor Wants More Goals
Blues' manager Peter Taylor has told his players that he wants more goals and more flair in their performances.
To that aim, the Wanderers have been working on it all week in training. Taylor told The Bucks Free Press : 'We need to create more chances and score more goals and that's what we've been working towards.'
Winger Gavin Grant was substituted during last weekend's game at Bury for not providing enough chances for the strikers. Taylor said : 'Gavin kept beating his full back but there's no point if the crosses end up going behind the goal.'
After a good performance in the reserves' win over Peterborough on Tuesday, young winger Matty Phillips looks certain to feature at some point in tomorrow's game against Bournemouth.
Taylor told the local paper : 'I was very pleased with what I saw in the reserves. I don't want people in the first team to become too comfortable.'
The Blues sit in 2nd place in the table by virtue of having only conceded 2 goals so far this season, but have only notched 8 goals themselves in 8 games.
