Wycombe 0-4 Birmingham

Wycombe were brushed aside at Adams Park on Wednesday as they bowed out of the Carling Cup in the 1st round, losing to Birmingham 4-0.

The Championship were ahead early when Mehdi Nafti (14) scored his first goal for Birmingham, three and a half years after signing, from 20-yards. The home side could've levelled through Scott McGleish but he was denied by Birmingham 'keeper Colin Doyle and a that was about as good as it got for Wycombe.

Sebastien Larsson (64) and Cameron Jerome (73) ensured that there would be no upset, with on-loan striker Quincy Owusu-Abeyie (86) scoring the goal of the match towards the end to wrap things up.

Wycombe were outclassed by their Championship opponents really weren't they, so there can't really be many complaints about this defeat can there?

It's going be tough away to you lot at Wycombe. After 3 straight losses it surely should be anything but another Imps loss. We hope!
